Heaven’s Child was completed in March, 2009 by Melissa Petrusse, Author of Awaken Heaven on Earth, A Spiritual Enlightenment Guidebook, (Copyright Melissa Petrusse, January 2009). Melissa is an accredited Reiki Master Teacher, a Spiritual Life Coach, and a Spiritual Interfaith Minister who has taught numerous spiritual growth classes for children in Southern California. In Heaven’s Child in a Mother’s Arms, Spiritual Enlightenment for Children, (Copyright Melissa Petrusse, March 2009), Melissa takes the overall message of Awaken Heaven on Earth and condenses it for the spiritual enrichment of both children and their parents. With the intent of creating a conversation piece between parents and children about the true nature of God being the energy of Joy and Love; about this Godly energy being inside everything and everyone; and about spiritual awakening in that when we remember to love one another rather than fear one another, we awaken God’s heavenly energy in us to then bless our entire world with shared happiness and peace. In Heaven’s Child children are presented with tender and endearing teachings of God’s Light being in and around all of us. Teachings as to why many of us forget the Light of God we are in truth are also presented in a kind and gentle manner. The intent is for parents to be able to use this book as a tool for reminding children and themselves that when we forget the truth of the shared joy and love which both created us and is our true spiritual identity, we then often begin to fear our fellow-man rather than loving all life, all people, all the world! When we wake up to the truth of God’s joyful and loving Light-energy in us and in everything and everyone, we become Heaven walking on Earth, right here, right now! How different people choose to remember joy and love and awaken out of fear and out of non-heavenly living is also presented as food-for-thought inspiration for children and their families. Inspired by many conversations with her two daughters Amanda and Kate, Melissa uses artwork created by her precious children as Heaven’s Child’s illustrations. She also incorporates photographs of ethnically diverse mothers joyfully hugging their children, to create an overall universal-love feel to the pages. Each page starts out with a question from child to mother, again inspired by questions and lessons exchanged between the author and her children.
